    Amazing tropical experience!

During our stay at Chunut House Resort, my friends and I were delighted by the charming huts nestled on the side of a hill. The location provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere with stunning views of the green jungle from the infinity pool. The room itself was beautiful, with all the necessary amenities and a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the delicious food served at the restaurant. Despite being close to everything on the island, the resort offered a quiet escape from the bustling tourist areas. I highly recommend Chunut House Resort for an exceptional island getaway!

The toilet area had a lot of bugs since it was open to the outside

Was quite at night compared to other parts of island

Some rude staff, building works next door, smell of sewage, no pool, 20 minutes not 5 minutes away from everything, wouldn't change hotel dates.

I had a bit of a mix-up with my room, but the staff at Chunut House Resort went above and beyond to fix it for me. They were so friendly and accommodating, making sure I had a comfortable stay. The location was great too, just a short walk to Ton Sai Village but far enough away from the noise. I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel.

Great little place to stay on Phi Phi, staff were always around to help out if needed, the rooms were very well maintained and had a nice village hut theme about them. Far enough away from the main pubs and noise of Phi Phi Village that you dont get kept awake but not so far that it is ever a hassle to walk to and from them and also to the beach. Also has a decent little bakery attached.

We weresupposed to stay two nights but ended up leaving after the first one. Room was full of cockroaches and not clean properly, after we checked no possibility to find a member of staff to get the room clean or event o get the wifi password. water was leaking from the bathroom roof. This plqce is advised by the routard guide and really shouldn t be there.

Chunut House Resort is definitely what you pay for. If you like the feel of a little thatch hut and living a little closer to Thailand beach living then this is it.

Although my 2 other friends and I appreciate the feel that the hotel were trying to achieve, it wasn't well maintained, i.e. it was not clean, there were ants and other insects living with us and there were absolutely no extras, e.g. there weren't even beach towels we could use. The manager (a lovely man who seemed to run all facilities from reception, transfer to the pier and making breakfast) was lovely but other staff were quite rude and abrupt (e.g. we were given a stained towel and were told we'd have to use it as there were no clean ones left).

Very nice hotel with nice staff for a specific kind of travelers. We wanted to be near Tonsai (cause cheaper and easier access for activities) and also far from all its the noise. For those 2 aspects it is a very good balance. It is on the Muslim area where you find the cheapest thing in Tonsai area and I would guess on the whole island.

One point is that you have to walk a bit to go to the beach (but we didnt care...we can walk 5 minutes) and on the way to Tonsai you have to walk along the smelly path for 30 seconds (not always though, depending on the wind). Could be a negative point for certain people but was not for us. The negative point is that it is expensive in comparison with other part of Thailande but this is Phi Phi prices...

This hotel is a little out of the way, but that's what makes it so nice - it's quiet and peaceful. Plus, it's just a 5-minute walk to town, so you can easily explore the area without any hassle. The staff here are excellent and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The rooms may be basic, but they are clean and comfortable, set in a lovely garden setting. And if you're a coffee lover, you'll be delighted to find a café just a short walk away that serves really good coffee.

No major issues, everything was just fine.

The breadfast of Chunut exceeds my expectation. it is good.

The website shows that i can use Visa card to pay the fee in the chunut. Actualy, Chunut didn't have post machine. you should pay the cash for them. so you need take enough money.

It's away from the hustle and bustle of pubs and night partying crowds, and being surrounded by the greens gives an instant sensation of holidaying and relaxation. Chunut House seems to be a house of loving and compassionate hosts who care for cats. The hut we were assigned to has a very sweet cat staying at the porch forever, some other huts have their own sleeping cats too. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is recommended that travelers email them a day before, or as soon as the ferry ticket is purchased, to arrange for the complimentary pick-up at the pier. We did, and the staff was there to receive us at arrival, and assisted in loading off the heavy luggage onto the special push cart.

It is advertised that Chunut House accepts major credit cards, but they only accept cash, which could be a problem if travelers have reserved their credit card limits for other use, or if they are unable to withdraw cash from International atm or bank. The cash that we have changed for this trip was more than enough, but 3 nights' stay of cash payment means we have to withdraw cash at a less favorable rate at the atm.

This cozy accommodation offers a great location close to everything on the island, yet far enough not to be disturbed by noise. The comfortable rooms come with air conditioning and Wi-Fi, making it easy to unwind after a busy day of exploring. The friendly staff provides excellent service, and the delicious breakfast will set you up for the day. Plus, the private balcony offers a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Guests may need to be mindful of insects due to the tropical environment.
